About Us - Chapter InformationThank you for your interest in the Oswego Area Chapter of Mothers & More, which was established in May 2001 and currently has over 90 members from Oswego and other nearby communities including Aurora, Yorkville, Sugar Grove and Montgomery. As described below, our chapter has a wide variety of offerings for its members. Please take a look at our current calendar of events to see the activities we have planned this month. If you would like to find out more about our chapter before making a commitment, you are invited to attend 2 chapter activities before joining. Please contact Missy, with any questions regarding our chapter. We hope to see you soon!PROGRAM NIGHTS are offered each month. Join us every 2nd Tuesday to hear guest speakers or participate in open discussions with other moms. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. at varying locations of the Oswegoland Park District (check our calendar for locations). Some previous topics include estate planning, anger management, potty training, the frugal mom, financial planning, organize and de-clutter your home and nutrition for moms and their picky eaters. We have lots of other programming topics in the works. Come out and join us! A MOM'S NIGHT OUT is scheduled at least once each month. Enjoy dinner, movies, paint your own pottery, wine & cheese tasting, spa nights and more - without your kids! Several PLAYGROUPS are available - a great way for you and your kids to make friends! Our Playgroup Coordinator can help you find a group that meets your needs - or help you start one. Please note, you must be a member before attending a playgroup. MOM & KID OUTINGS include picnics and park outings, zoo trips, holiday parties and much more! Recently, make your own pizza and trips to the children's museum have been scheduled. These outings are for members only - please contact us for more details! PARK OUTINGS are scheduled once a week during the warmer months. Our community has several wonderful parks and members and welcomed guests take advantage of the chance to get to know each other and our kids. Many LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES are available for members. Run for a board position, join a committee or a subgroup - like scrap booking, book group or recipe group. Board positions include Leader, Co-Leader, Secretary, Treasurer, Programming, Newsletter, Membership, Marketing/Publicity, Community Outreach, and more. |
